Having started in the mortgage industry when rates were high back in 1986, I have seen all sides of the directive, whether it be conventional & government loans in high rates for refinances (Weichert), conventional & government rates during a purchase & refi boom (Cendant), surviving through the sub-prime bubble (Long Beach/WAMU), as well as even educating seniors about reverse mortgages (Wells Fargo).I have worked and dealt with the inner working of all sides, as well as having served at RFG since late 2021, helping borrowers to level up their portfolios. I do enjoy when a borrower first is joyfully surprised the amount saved at the closing table, then after he/she completes their project and receives the profit from the sale of that project. It is an excitement that keeps me coming back for more every day, throughout the ups and downs of our industry. I get a distinct enjoyment of educating a borrower how to maintain their capital to grow their desired legacy for their family.
